Tyler The Toothless
Tyler has been anxiously looking forward to getting both front teeth out, mainly for the double tooth fairy visit. He did mention that he hoped they would be out in time for G-Ma's wedding this weekend so that he would not look so snaggly in pictures. Last night his wish came true...at 9pm. Someone had not taken into consideration that the tooth fairy was still expected to arrive, regardless of how late and inconvenient it now was to run to the store. Luckily, the tooth fairy is resourceful and simply dug through her coin collection from childhood (stashed under her bed along with her collection of old baseball cards and pocket knifes. The tooth fairy was quite the tom boy early on.) and added a few jelly beans that Tyler had yet to discover.

A Look Back
I am having a sentimental day. I found my wedding CD from almost NINE years ago. Where has the time gone?

Happy 4th Birthday Carson
March 2nd is a great day. We knew you were going to be extra special from the start. The compassion, sweetness and quirky sense of humor God has doled out to you is unparalleled to anyone we have ever met. Your face makes us smile and your heart makes us rejoice. We thank God He choose us to be your parents, we don't deserve you. Hoping it's the best birthday ever. Happy 4th to our Carson C-Horse Alatractor, Hot wheels, Darth Vader Hodges (all his names for himself, minus C-Horse).
Carson's Darth Vader Cake
From the start, Tommy and I agreed that Carson could have whatever kind of birthday party he wanted. Wherever he wanted. He chose Star Wars themed...more specifically Darth Vader. He also wanted to have it at his school tomorrow. A Darth Vader party is not complete without a Darth Vader cake. Not the easiest thing to make, which is why I started this morning and not tonight. Very happy I did, because this dessert of darkness has taken me the better half of the day.
Started out making a 9X13 chocolate fudge cake and used one of his actual masks to make a cutout. Then baked another sheet cake.
After allowing time to cool, I carefully stacked the cakes and did a dark chocolate glaze. Then iced Darth by hand looking at the features on the mask.
I hope Carson loves the cake, I sure did love making it for him.

Haircuts!
Ella and I got our haircut and styled today. It was her official first- if you don't count when I just trimmed her mullet about a 9 months ago. We feel great and are ready to be taken out on the town...hint hint Tommy.
