We're Really Hopping This Easter Weekend!

So we have quickly discovered that with a two year old, there is no time for rest...even with a new baby. Tyler still wants to go to the park, the zoo, and Ijams nature park to hike unaware that mom and dad are trying to function on 3 hours of sleep. This Easter Weekend seemed extra busy- keep in mind these pictures were taken all on Friday and Saturday!
Hiking at Ijams (good thing we had new baby bjorn)

Walking at the park with good friends Michael, Shannon, and their little girl Lydia

Tyler! Meet Your New Baby Bird!

This is the video of Tyler meeting Carson for the first time. The funniest part of the introduction is where Tyler does not spot the baby right away, however, he does find the little stuffed bird in the baby basket. That was a lot of sweat, blood and tears to bring home just a stuffed animal!

Carson's Homecoming

Below is a slide show with a few more pictures of Carson with Tyler, G-Ma and Ma. For Tyler and Ma, it was the first time they got to meet him! We also have a video of Tyler seeing Carson when we brought him home and will be posted soon. Our family really feels complete now, we are so glad to have everyone home.

They're Definitely Brothers

We were sure the last few days that the boys didn't look anything alike. Yesterday we began to see that they seemed to have the same lips - but today, the resemblance is uncanny. Can you guess which is which??? See below for the answer

#2: Tyler

Rounding The Corner On Recovery

Carson has made amazing progress this past week, we are also in awe over how much he is changing in looks. Initially, we thought he was going to look like me- but as the days pass, it is evident he is looking more like his daddy and Tyler (especially the lips). Carson is now off all oxygen and breathing great on his own and is being bottle fed (they are taking the central line out tomorrow and will then be breast fed). Below are some pictures we took this morning. He is downing milk in about 2 minutes flat (at least he has taken something after me), and is resting well. What you will see in the pictures are stickers on his chest to monitor his heart rate and body temperature and velcro tabs on his temples to keep his eye shades on while under the lights. We are looking for Carson to come home middle of next week!
