Weekend Project

The one thing the builder of our house neglected to do was landscape. When we moved in we were surrounded by gravel. Determined to make a front yard for the kids, Tommy set out to landscape the front this weekend. The project started with us going to pick out tons of plants, trees, and shrubs. Then we had someone pull all the gravel with a tractor regrade our driveway.

Tommy rented an auger to dig the holes- he found out quickly that a shovel on top of a mountain was not going to cut it. In no time at all the plants were in, with help from the boys.

In between planting, Tommy and my mom set the walkway and my sister and her kids arrived just in time to help spread seed.

I will post the "finished" renovation when the grass comes in. Thanks for everyone's help to help us get a yard!
