The Play Factory

Not quite sure what gave me the confidence that I displayed today by taking all three kids to the Play Factory (picture Chuck E. Cheese on crack), but I did it and we survived. We met Tyler's good friends Cody and Wyatt and their brother Dillon there and played for hours and had lunch. It is fun to watch the dynamics of the three. Cody is 6 and Wyatt is 4 but is about a head shorter than Tyler so Tyler is convinced that he and Cody are the same age. Regardless, they all get along beautifully and it is fun to picture what Tyler and Carson will be like at those ages. I can only hope they are as close and good to each other as those two are.

The funniest part of watching them all get together (which is at least once a week), is watching Carson. He seems to forget that he is still so little and wants so badly to be one of the boys. He tags along and tries to everything they do- which works if they are all on a walk in the neighborhood, but does not have the best outcome if it is playing at a giant indoor playground with height restrictions. That was the biggest challenge by far of the day- keeping an eye on Tyler and keeping Carson entertained and not feeling too left out. Ella slept like a champ the entire trip in her stroller, but I am sure other challenges will present themselves when she is mobile.
The above picture cracks me up- you can tell by their faces who is losing the game, who is tying and wants to win and who did not even have a working water shooter but thought he was playing. By the way- Tyler won and was alot more gracefully than I would have been. No victory dancing, war cries or anything.

Carson did find something he could participate in- DANCE FLOOR!
