This morning we all went to our church for an event my friend Ellen put together- Treats For The Troops. The night before volunteers from the church baked several dozen cookies and had them cut out and ready to decorate. There was also a table for the kids to color and write a note to our service men and women. After, everyone gathered at the cookie decorating station. All of the cookies and letters/drawings are being mailed to the men and women serving over Christmas. The kids loved it and I know all of the good men and women in the military will too.
