Happy Birthday Carson!!!!
Our sweet boy turns two today!!!! All of our children are a blessing, but Carson- wow! He is the most affectionate kid ever created. He loves to hold and make his sister laugh, adores playing with Tyler and cannot get enough hugs kisses from the rest of us. Carson completes our family in a way that is indescribable. He has the quirkiest sense of humor and loves to be read to. He has a bit a of shoe obsession and loves to wear accessories. Carson literally lights up a room and we love him fiercely. Happy Birthday C-Horse!!!!

First Trip To The Dentist
I know. I know. We are late by about a year, but with the move and the birth of Ella- we just kind of dropped the ball with Tyler's dental hygiene. We made it today and things could not have ran more smoothly. The funniest part of the trip was Tyler's excitement level- one would have thought he was on his way to a birthday party. I guess he will learn over time that every trip to the dentist is not a fun social visit where you play with the equipment, get your teeth counted and then pick out a toy from the treasure box. Wow, that really does sound kind of fun.
The first thing Tyler did was get to see all of the tools that were going in his mouth. Our hygienist was great and tested everything on Ty's finger so he could see how painless it was going to be.
After the teeth counting and cleaning, Tyler gave a demonstration on how he brushes his teeth. And then the dentist came in to do a once over.
I was told everything looked excellent and he is doing a great job brushing. So after 25 minutes, we left with a great first experience...oh, and a new toothbrush, sticker, pencil and plastic fly.

Ella Is 5 Months Old Today!
Half of me wants to cry and the other half, well cry. I can see why people want to keep having babies- they just don't stay little long enough. I want to freeze time because I think she is at the perfect age, but then again, I remember thinking the same thing about Ty and Carson every month of their life. Ella is almost 1/2 a year old! We started her on rice cereal and it has been bitter sweet for me. I know she is ready, but the fact that she is ready for anything other than milk is heartbreaking and just reaffirms how fast she is growing up.
We moved Ella to a portable crib last week, since my other baby (Carson) is not ready to give up his bed (which I am 100% okay with). She is still sleeping through the night like a champ and is over the 75% in both weight and length. She tracks like a skilled hunter and I sometimes feel her hearing is superior to most. She is crazy about her brothers and smiles every time they hold her. Tyler can make her laugh as well and I can. I see alot of Tyler in her, something in the jowls and eye spacing. I am still shocked at how different her coloring is from the boys. It looks like her hair is going to be strawberry blond and eyes are getting more blue every day.
Ella is the sweetest baby- I thought Carson broke the mold on babies with how easy he was- but Ella is a close 2nd. She has a little more of a temper when you put her down if she is wanting to be held (which rarely happens, she is a bit spoiled), but overall is one laid back cat.
Ella's favorite thing in the world is to go on a walk in the Bjorn carrier- she loves looking around. I introduced her to the Johnny Jump-Up this morning, and as you can see she loves it as well. Sweet sweet girl! We love our Ella.

First Bite
At Ella's 4 month checkup we were told she was ready for rice cereal, but something inside me wanted to wait a little longer before introducing her to anything other than- well, me. I guess it is a last baby thing, and the reminder she is getting bigger and leaving the tiny baby stage. But after days of watching her try to reach for our food and tracking our food while we ate and whimpering at the dinner table, I knew I could not put it off any longer. As the pictures will show, she loved it. She will stay on rice cereal for a week and then be introduced to green beans. That should be an interesting post!
