G-Ma's Birthday Visit

As Tommy left town to attend a conference in New Orleans, my mom arrived to kick off her birthday week. The kids were out of school on Thursday and Friday so were were all able to actually get out to do some stuff. We kicked off the week with lunch and going to a really cool quilting store. Mom let the boys pick out fabric for new pillowcases.

Later that day mom helped me make Ella a catgirl outfit and we went to WCU campus for a trick or treating event. The kids loaded up on way too much candy and had a great time.

On Friday we went to Waynesville visited Barber Apple Orchard Stand. After loading up on turnovers, cookies and apple cake- we went to have lunch at the best little restaurant- Maggies Galley. BEST seafood chowder we have ever eaten. The kids all went nuts over the soup also. The portions were huge and prices very reasonable. We all split a huge piece of coca-cola chocolate cake and headed home.

I made dinner and we surprised mom with a double layer (Extreme Moose Tracks and Red Velvet Cake) ice cream cake.

As always, we all enjoyed having G-Ma come stay with us!
