Yesterday we went to Tom Sawyer's Tree Farm and Elf Village located in Glenville NC. Since we already have a Christmas tree, we were just going for the Elf Village. And we must have really wanted to go, because it was a 45 minute drive just to get there and it was cold and raining. The kids were excited- there was face painting, a tent where you could make a tree ornament. Story time with a "elf" (think senior citizen dress up in elf clothes).
Tyler was able to write a letter to Santa and there were little wooden villages and huts the kids could go in and play.
All Ella cared about was getting her little hands on a candy cane. At the end we all dined on cookies and hot chocolate inside the one heated building. Did I mention it was cold and raining?
Very cute place to visit- next year we will probably plan the trip around the weather, but it was a fun way to spend the morning.
